Carol is a local author, which makes me doubly want to read her books!
Hide Your Life Away
Thirty-two-year-old Jason Mahoney is a commitment-phobic grocery store clerk who finds himself at an inevitable crossroads. He is confused about his path in life, and is hiding from a potential romantic relationship. He can’t understand what cashier Debra Springer could possibly see in a lazy, unkempt, stock boy like him, but she wants him. Bad. And she wants the whole deal: marriage and kids. Between Debra’s offers of unprotected sex and a late night roofing contract with his friend Random Michaels, it doesn’t seem like Jason will get to do the only thing he really cares about this weekend: watching his new Star Trek DVD. Hide Your Life Away is a satirical, fast food, weekend romp that might just end up with a trip down the aisle.
A Study in Love
A STUDY IN LOVE is a visceral analysis of love and loss, their mutability and interchangeability, and the pain derived from both. Written over a two year period, these poems explore emotionally sensitive territory in order to garner a deeper understanding of human relationships, boundaries, and tendencies. Award winning novelist / poet Carol Little offers a fresh, innovative voice in the landscape of modern Canadian poets. This collection pairs her pieces with stunning paintings by critically acclaimed artist, Kristy Gordon.
